Despite the many benefits of this process, there are some limitations that will need to be considered. The ink featured in our DTG process can only adhere to high cotton blends – 60/40 at minimum. This process is not appropriate for polyester, rayon, or nylon garments. Additionally, while DTG features lower set up fees, especially in the case of complex multi-colored designs, it does feature a higher cost per print. When compared to traditional screen printing, DTG is also slower in terms of shirts-per-hour. For this reason, you will need to carefully consider the complexity of your design and your desired quantity before selecting this service.
